Do I have to pick a category myself?

No. She assigns it from the words — coffee, taxi, groceries. If there is no hook, the category is “other.”

How it works in plain language

Does Galka always ask for confirmation?

A voice note asks first. A disputed line or a huge amount too. A clear "taxi home 340 rubles" goes to the journal. Saved entries are not deleted: cancel is a reversal, a fix is a correction.

Can I keep the ledger by voice?

Yes. A Telegram voice note always asks before saving. If recognition is on, Galka shows the transcript and lines. This website does not use a microphone.

How do I log a spend in another currency?

Write the amount with the purchase currency. The nest can be in another: the rate is taken at the time of the entry. An unknown currency code does not block the entry — Galka uses the ledger base currency.

Can we share a household budget?

Yes. Add Galka to a shared chat and pick household mode. People in the chat see the same journal.

How do I delete this chat’s data?

Write “forget me” in the chat. She warns, then after a separate yes wipes this chat’s journal and settings. A trial subscription is not wiped.

Does Galka work offline?

No. There is no offline mode: you need a Telegram connection.

Does Galka read receipt photos?

No. Receipt photos are not parsed. Type or dictate the amount.
